The lead singer of the popular group The Police, he sang like no other star during their prime time on stages across the world. Starting out in London during the mid seventies, Sumner and fellow group member Stuart Copeland, began the early makings of The Police. The trio started out in their career of fame and rock music the hard way. In fact, they drove around in a van with all their equipment and musical paraphernalia from one gig to another like a fairy tale story about the bands that finally make it big. This group not only fulfilled that fairy tale, their dreams came true bigger than ever in the music business. 
After some time in America, the trio returned home to the United Kingdom. While the hit "Roxanne" had finally put them in the limelight, the real success for this band began with the song "Message In A Bottle" hit the air. Millions of fans loved the album and the single soared to the top of the charts. The Police were at the top and will always be remembered for their unique and pop, jazz sounds. 
Music lovers of today still have a place in their heart for Sting the Rock Band. Sumner tours all over the globe and fans from young and old know his name.
