Derek Hough Tickets

Derek Hough was born on May 17, 1985 in Sandy, Utah. Growing up with dancing in his blood, it was no surprise that he found a passion for it at a young age. At age 12, his parents divorced and he was sent to study dance in London, England. He was later joined by one of his four sisters, Julianne. Derek ended up staying in London studying dance, gymnastics, theater and song for 10 years. During his training in London Derek, Julianne and dance instructor’s song created their own pop group called B2G1 (2 Boys and 1 Girl.) The group performed across the UK and the United States for awhile. Derek then became an instructor at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. 

Derek’s career consists of competitive dancing, choreography and filmography. Prior to his career as a dancer on Dancing with the Stars, he participated in plenty of latin dancing competitions. This included the WDSF World Latin Championship where he took first place two years in a row.

His journey with Dancing with the Stars began in 2007, season four, when he joined the show as a guest instructor, but then returned the following season as a professional instructor. Derek’s partners included: Jennie Garth, Shannon Elizabeth, Brook Burke, Lil’ Kim, Joana Krupa, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Ricki Lake, Maria Menounos, Shawn Johnson, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley, Amy Purdy, Bethany Mota, Nastia Liukin, Bindi Irwin and performed his final season with Marilu Henner. 

Derek has appeared on multiple television shows and movies as himself and leading characters, such as Corny Collins in Hairspray Live! His latest career move is a dance centric production in Derek Hough: No Limit at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.
