Ricky Martin the singer, actor and author who got his start with the all-boy pop group Menudo and then went onto have his own solo career.  Throughout the ‘90s Martin released several Spanish-language solo albums and began his acting career becoming a somewhat modest star.  After his 1999 performance at the 41^st Grammy Awards show Martin released “Livin la Vida Loca” which rocketed him into mainstream media giving him worldwide success and is generally seen as the song that began the Latin pop explosion of 1999.  Martin has sold over 85 million records worldwide and has had 95 platinum records, six Billboard albums, 11 No. 1 hits, two American Music Awards, six Grammy Awards, eight World Music Awards, ten Billboard Music Awards, eight MTV Music Video Awards and had concerts in more than 60 countries.   In the summer of 2014 it was announced that Ricky Martin would become a coach on the hit show The Voice Mexico and in the fall he announced his Mexican One World Tour on Mexico City.  Martin possesses a tenor vocal range and cites a variety of musical influences including salsa, merengue, and bolero.  Ricky Martins first children’s book, Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars, was published in November 2013.  Ricky Martin has been honored with many awards and accolades for his constant work and progress in the musical field, he puts on a high energy dynamic show that is great for the whole family!
